I'm also a software engineer, consultant and researcher, specialising in object-oriented development, modelling and metadata. I lead software development in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for Mott MacDonald.
A current example of my work in the metadata area is the ITS Metadata Registry at www.itsregistry.org.uk.
Another speciality is implementing traffic modelling software; an example is the modelling engine for the DfT's DIADEM.
